TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION POLICY
All TMP Sports Management tournaments will be posted on the AES site, www.advancedeventsystems.com, and remain open until one (1) week prior to the date of the event. Teams must register for the tournaments using the AES site, and payment is due at time of registration. Once you complete the tournament registration, you will receive a confirmation email with details.
If a tournament has been filled, you can still register for the tournament to be added to the Wait List. You’ll receive an email confirming this status, and payment is not required. If your team is accepted for the tournament, you’ll be notified again by email and payment will be due immediately. An email will also be sent if your team has not been accepted into the tournament.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
1. Five-team pools will consist of two (2) 21-point games starting at 4, finish at 25
2. Four-team pools will consist of three (3) 21-point games starting at 4, finish at 25
3. No switching sides unless there is a clear advantage
4. Choice of side may be chosen on initial coin toss
5. Top (3) teams from each pool go to Playoffs, 2nd place travel, 1st place get bye and works on their court.
6. Crossover Quarter final is one (1) 21- point game starting at 4 finish at 25, win by 2, no cap.
7. Semifinals are the best 2 out of 3; two (2) 21-point games, no cap; win by 2; third game is a 15-point game, starting at zero, no cap
8. Finals are the best 2 out of 3; two (2) 21-point games, no cap; third game is a 15-point game, starting at zero, no cap; win by 2
9. Work teams for semifinals and finals to be chosen by the tournament director. All teams, before leaving, must check out with the tournament director.
TEAM TIE BREAK RULES
Number of sets won based on head-to-head matches in pool play.
Higher point differential based on head-to-head matches in pool play.
Winning percentage of sets based on head-to-head matches in pool play.
Only use for pools of Best of 3 Sets or 3 Sets
Winning Percentage = ([Number of Sets Won] / [Total Number of Sets Played]) * 100
Higher point differential based on all matches in pool play.
A coin toss between the tied teams by the Site/Tournament Director.
